This project is a family home designed for an elderly couple whose children and grandchildren visit frequently, with comfort and emotional warmth as the core values of the space. A timeless palette of wood and white was applied throughout the interior to create a calm, warm, and uncluttered atmosphere that remains pleasant over time. Rather than relying on strong contrasts or decorative elements, soft wood textures were used on key surfaces to enhance a sense of coziness and visual stability.
The living room is organized around a full-height wall composition that integrates storage and finishes, reducing visual clutter while adding spatial depth through indirect and accent lighting. Sliding doors and vertical louver details allow the space to be flexibly divided when needed, while maintaining openness and continuity. When fully opened, the living area can easily expand to accommodate family gatherings with visiting grandchildren.
The kitchen and dining areas were planned with simple and safe circulation in mind, supporting the daily rhythm of elderly residents. Storage solutions were carefully integrated to remain visually discreet, preserving a clean and orderly appearance. The greenery visible beyond the living room windows was intentionally reflected in the interior’s color and material palette, allowing natural scenery and seasonal changes to blend gently into the living environment and complete a comfortable, restful family home.
